Refund policy
What if I miss a Pickup?
We do not offer refunds if you miss a Pickup. We already bought the seafood for you, and we are not responsible if you failed to pick it up.
That said, we understand that life can be chaotic and if something arises you have several options:
- If you know the week beforehand that you can’t make your pickup, click the "Pause Subscription" button on your account management portal before Friday on the week before the pickup. Weeks that you are paused do not count as pickups that you've paid for. You can restart your subscription at any time! Read more about our pausing functionality here.
- If you know days beforehand, you can let us know by clicking the “Skip Pickup” button in your pickup emails, and we will donate your share to a student or mutual aid organization. You can also email, call, or text us to tell us. This count as a week that you have paid for.
- Ask a friend to pick up for you. You don't need to tell us beforehand, but make sure they know where to go and what to do.
- Ask your Pickup Site host if you can come by at a different time. Their contact information is sent with the exact address. They may not be able to accommodate everything, and your seafood may no longer be available after 48 hours. (If Fishadelphia is listed as your host, we cannot accommodate any other times than the listed pickup window.)
Fishadelphia may change pickup day/times due to weather and other events.
What if I don’t want my membership to be renewed automatically?
You can cancel your subscription at any time and you will receive the remaining seafood you have paid for and the membership will not auto-renew. If we see that you've done this, we contact you to confirm how many more Shares you have to pick up.
You will not receive any refund. You will not pay any cancellation fees.
You can do this by clicking the "Cancel Subscription" button on your account management portal. If you would like our help to cancel your renewing subscription, please ask us.
What if I want to cancel my Membership early?
You can cancel your Membership at any time!
If you cancel, we can refund you for any fish that you have not picked up, minus a cancellation fee equal to the cost of one Pickup.
eg 1. You bought a Monthly Market Rate Membership for $48.

If you cancel before your first Pickup, we will refund you $24. ($48 - $0 picked up - $24 fee = 24)
If you cancel after your first Pickup, we will refund you $0. ($48 - $24 already picked up - $24 fee = 0)
Sometimes it may be better for you to finish the pickups you have paid for but not allow your subscription to renew.
You need to contact us if you would like a renewal and to end your pickups early.
What happens if I pause?
Pausing halts both your scheduled payments and your pickups. You can do this by clicking the "Pause Subscription" button on your account management portal.
Weeks that you are paused do not count as pickups that you've paid for. You can restart your subscription at any time!
There are no fees or penalties associated with pausing.
