Our New Pausing Functionality
Hi Fishadelphians,
We hope that your 2024 is off to a good start! This season, we’ve been going slowly and taking some time to think about our operations and make improvements.
We noticed that members sometimes travel for a while, or are even unable to pick up their share for just a week but know in advance. Because of this, we are adding a pause function to all memberships!
Now, you’ll be able to suspend your membership. Pickups during the time that you’re paused won’t be subtracted from pickups that you’ve paid for and you won’t have any new payments charge during the time. Furthermore, you’re in control and you can pause and restart your membership yourself whenever you want in 3 simple steps (though of course we’re happy to help if you need it).
Here’s how to pause:
- Go to your subscription portal
- Scroll down and click the orange “Pause subscription” button
- Check for a confirmation email
Whenever you’re ready to restart:
- Go to your subscription portal
- Scroll down and click the blue “Resume subscription” button
- Check for a confirmation email and new pickup details email
Fine-print details: In order for a pause to be in effect, you have to complete it the week before a seafood delivery; so if you know you’ll be gone, you have to pause by Thursday the week before. If you received a Catch of the Week email, then you’re still on the list for that week’s pickup. We’ll send you reminder emails to unpause, but there are no restrictions on how long you can keep your membership paused or how many times. We may adjust your payment schedule once you've resumed; e.g., if you're at 0 pickups remaining, we will schedule a payment soon so you can start getting seafood ASAP.
