Rate tiers!
We now have four rate tiers!
$12.50 per share: Community rate: covers the cost of the seafood and filleting, but not delivery or other labor and operations costs
$25 per share: Market rate: covers the actual cost of a share, including the seafood, filleting, delivery, and paying everyone living wages (this rate was formerly known as “Regular rate”)
$37.50 per share: Supporter rate: provides seafood for another member through our Neighbor Share program and Community Rate option
$50 per share: Sustainer rate: provides seafood for another member through our Neighbor Share program and Community Rate option, and also supports community and educational programming
What rate should I pay?
-
One general rule of thumb is that your rate should be less than your hourly pay rate (assuming you work full time).
If you make more than $36/hr ($75,000/year), consider joining at the Supporter level.
If you make more than $48/hr ($100,000/year), consider a Sustainer membership.
You qualify for our Community rate if your income makes you eligible for public assistance (food stamps or Medicaid).
If none of the above apply, consider joining at Market rate.
You can also consider these solidarity economy guidelines.
If you’re not comfortable joining at the Supporter or Sustainer membership levels, consider making a one-time donation or purchasing a few Neighbor Share shares for another member.
